The gauge is pushed into the hole in your panel and the clamp is slipped over the threaded end of the pressure connection, then it is turn and the hex locks in with a hex on the thread stem, then using a screwdriver you tighten the two screws against the panel. This system does allow for mounting of gauges without using mounting holes. It can vibrate loose so for compressors and hydraulics maybe the QFF would be better.
